BACK TO THE 'NATI

Thanks to the generosity of mine and Andrew's parents,
we were able to spend a week in Cincinnati.

These are some photographic highlights:

The yard in front of the Yellow House. I would suggest clicking on this one and really exploring. One day in the distant future, this will be an archeologists wonderland.

Tucker's for "brunch".

Snowy gravel lot, Coffee Emporium bevies, and a still bombed out Old St. George.

this video blows my mind.
Since it has been a while since I posted pictures of the apartment,
I figured I would put more updated photos on.

Please check out my other blog, BLACK FEATHER
dedicated solely to my jewelry makings.
Mike V. visits, and we have nothing better to do but go to bars the entire time because everyone is trapped on the hill in many feet of snow, which remains to be un-salted and un-plowed. GO FIGURE.

A LITTLE BIT OF SNOW:
THE ENTIRE CITY OF SEATTLE
FREAKS OUT, SHUTS DOWN.

And then comes the sledding.

So I am REALLY REALLY behind on the events of the past couple of months. The most important of which is the recap of election night in Seattle. Observe:

There are seriously hundreds of videos. Just YouTube it.

RATTLESNAKE!

There is a lot to catch up on, and perhaps many things I'll totally forget, so let's start here:

Sebastian Botzow & Johnathon Ennis Visit Seattle!

By the power of the buddy pass, a few days after John Thobe's departure, Seb arrived! Coming to participate in Decibel Fest, Seb also was able to experience to awesomeness of Seattle, and was soon joined by John for good times.

JOHN THOBE TAKES ON SEATTLE!
Divide and Conquer: the John Thobe Story

Our very lovely J. Thobe visited this past week after many perilous flight delays. Festivities ensued as the beautiful city of Seattle welcomed it's newest honorary resident, Johnathon Jefferson Thobe, into the folds of it's lush bounty.

Andrew and I attempted to go to Fort Ward State Park this weekend out on Bainbridge Island. Unfortunately, we didn't realize that the buses on the island didn't run on the weekends, so we weren't able to get there. But we were able to enjoy the ferry ride and get some great views of the mountains.

The Cascades.

Mt. Rainer.

The Emerald City.

Lesbros: BFF!
And the most important news of the month:

ANDREW IS IN SEATTLE!

Tour De Apartment
Ok, so this might not be the most efficient or beautiful way to go about showing pictures of our apartment, but bare with me. And remember, you can clickclick on the photos to make them larger.

This is the living room. The first picture is what you see as soon as you walk in. The next is the right wall, leading into me and Andrew's bedroom, the front door, and then the right wall, leading into the kitchen.

This is the bedroom. From left to right, it is the left wall, center wall, which you see when you first walk in, and then the right wall to the doorway leading into the livingroom.

Going through the living room, you come to the kitchen, as seen on the far right. The first picture is the view when you look left, which enters into the hall way. Then the second shows what you see if you look directly head from the door out of the living room, and then the next picture is what you see if you turn your head right.

This is the hallway if you look to the right as you exit the kitchen.

At the end of the hall is the bathroom, which is actually pretty spacious.

And then to the right of the bathroom is Amy's room.

THE END.

There is a lot to catch up on, but here is the condensed version in the form of a list:

1. Job as nanny for three children and a bulldog named Eloise.
2. Andrew arrived in Seattle about a month ago.
3. New apartment!
4. 21!!!
5. Will came to visit.
6. Seb and Thobe are coming to visit.
7. I just received part 2 of the psychedelic mix series by J.D. Laughead, entitled Ancient Lace and Wrought-Iron Railings.
8. Saw the new X-Files movie (and it was totally awesome, thanks for asking).

More to come.

When my brother and I were growing up, our mother taught us not to "want" for anything. Although we did none the less, it that super lustful childhood way, when you HAVE to have something. Well, I am experiencing that feeling right now.

ROLL TOP DESK!

I WANT YOOOOOOOU.

You would keep me so organized and all of my papers and butterfly clips and things would be out of sight. I'm even humanizing it. I LOVE YOU ROLL TOP DESK.
